Mission
The idea of "Crocked Under Pressure", came about primarily from cooking in the crock pot and the pressure cooker. Cooking in either of these appliances is quite easy and very user friendly. So this was the jumping off point for my idea to give information to those who are intimidated or "pressured" by going into the kitchen to prepare a meal. The mission of this blog is to extend information or "release the pressure" for those who are starting to cook or those who want to tweak their skill level a little more. No one should be affraid to make mistakes in the kitchen, heck Julia Child even made some on TV! Some of the best recipes come from mistakes, so lets make some together. The blog will also provide information on kitchen equipment, websites, books and TV shows that I find interesting or helpful. Believe it or not, I bet, I could even learn a few things from all you non-cooks out there. That being said, soon, there will be an opportunity to have some live interaction and cook along side me, while I cook my meals, in the privacy of your own kitchen. You will be able to ask questions, see what your meal is supposed to look like and in the end have a meal prepared. Cooking can be fun and I would like to help you have fun! I have a saying about cooking, if you can read and scoop, you can cook!" Everyone from adolescents to college students, newlyweds and adults will find something useful on this blog.
